It would seem that the SBF/FTX saga couldn’t get any weirder when Sam Bankman-Fried went on a media tour, where major media outlets gave him the chance to explain what happened. As opposed to disgraced investor Bernie Madoff, who was handcuffed 24 hours after his ponzi scheme was exposed, this is a stark contrast. In his media tour, Bankman-Fried revealed some eye-opening revelations, particularly that he was not running Alameda Research, and that he didn’t know exactly what was going on. As of now, it’s extremely difficult to trust anything Bankman-Fried says, because he admitted on Twitter that he basically told everyone what they wanted to hear and his altruistic persona wasn’t real. Mark Yusko pointed this out. None of this adds up. According to Yusco, after his media treatment, there is something bigger going on than Sam Bankman-Fried with SBF and FTX.
